What maintenance does an electric vehicle need?

Every 30 Days:

       

  • Examine the tires for excess wear.

    •    

  • Check the windshield washer fluid and refill if needed.

    •    

  • Check the tire pressure—(The tire pressure will be displayed in the driver’s information center on the dashboard. GM EV’s are also equipped with a TPMS which monitors tire pressure and alerts you if it’s low.)

Every 4,500 miles:

(In addition to 30-day maintenance)

       

  • Rotate the tires.

Every 18,000-20,000 miles or every 2 years:

(In addition to 7,500-mile maintenance)

       

  • Replace the passenger air filter.

Every 90,000-100,000 miles:

(In addition to 22,500-mile maintenance and 7,500-mile maintenance)

       

  • Have the suspension gas struts inspected.

    •    

  • They might not need to be replaced, but should be inspected

Every 150,000 miles:

(In addition to 7,500-mile maintenance, 22,500-mile maintenance, and 100,000-mile maintenance)

       

  • Replace the brake fluid.

    •    

  • Drain and service the battery coolant circuits.
